The 2008 national meeting, April 10-12, at the beautiful Tremont House in Galveston, Texas (a top historic destination complete with miles of relaxing beaches, superb dining, incredible galleries and museums, and world-class sportfishing) has been declared a success.  Members and non-members alike attended.  A sizablle group enjoyed the camaraderie of bay fishing on April 10th even without much fish-catching.  The Prime Rib dinner Thursday evening provided not only fine nourishment but also an excellent opportunity to visit with our generous exhibitors and other sponsors.  Outstanding speakers including David Eastwood, PE; and W. Tom Witherspoon, PhD, PE, CFRS didn't disappoint with their contributions to the educational opportunities on Friday.  Greg Covington, CFRS at DuWest Foundation, made a very well-received presenation pertaining to Sales while Raymond Meinhardt, CFRS at Perma Jack® of San Antonio, presented important points concerning the expectations of Contractors and Engineers working together.
